With the ever-evolving construction industry more and more combustible pipes have become available for use in the plumbing sector etc.
(PVC -PE, PEX, HDPE).

Not all plastics react the same in a fire so a different tested system could be required for each different type.

If a combustible pipe melts away in the event of a fire, a larger aperture will be left open that must be closed off immediately.

Expanding intumescent products like fire collars, intumescent pipe wraps and high-pressure exerting sealant (depending on size, element needing to be protected) are usually a very effective solution to maintain the integrity of the service.
