Sliding fire doors are the perfect fire protection solution for buildings with difficult or limited swing space or where maximum opening sizes are required for the movement of plant or equipment such as

The maximum sizes for single leaf sliding doors approved to AS 1905.1 are:

• 5500mm high and 8000mm wide in Masonry (Concrete or Brickwork) walls
• 5500mm high and 6000mm wide in Plasterboard walls

As per NCC2019 C3.6 (a) horizontal sliding doors must be held open with an electromagnetic device, which when de-activated in accordance with (b) and (c), allows the door to be fully closed in not less than 20 seconds and not more than 30 seconds after release;
